AMAZON BEATS MICROSOFT'S PRICE AGAIN, CUTS £ 41 OF 128GB FROM SURFACE GO
Last week, Amazon offered the Surface Pro 6 with Type Cover for a stellar price of £ 878, beating Microsoft's price in the same package. This week, we see Amazon's competitive prices in action again, but in the new Surface Go.
Microsoft launched the Surface Go tablet last October. It is a 10-inch 2-in-1 laptop when combined with the type cover (sold separately, starting at £ 99) but its size does not compromise on performance.
In our review, we recommend it as a good option for those who do not want to distribute more than £ 700 for the Surface Pro 6.
The Surface Go starts at £ 379 for the basic model with 64 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM. The next model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage costs £ 509 (RS 88101.24), but right now you can get it from Amazon for £ 468.45(RS 81082.56), saving you £ 41(RS 7096.56).
Amazon is also packaging this model with the black Surface Go type cover for £ 586.45, saving you £ 22.
It is a better offer than Microsoft. Microsoft's offer on the same Surface Go and Type Cover model is not only more expensive, for £ 628, but it doesn't really save you on devices. What you save is £ 40 on the 1-year Office 365 subscription that is linked (not optional, by the way), which is not useful if you're already a subscriber, and of course, if you don't. I really need it (there is always Google Docs).
