The National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE) on Thursday warned that in recent days, a message with a link to a video in which the user is invited to enter is being viralized, mainly through the WhatsApp instant messaging application. An exchange of collective money.
The message states that if 33 euros are delivered and two people are invited, the user receives 1,848 euros after eight days, the technology center has warned this Thursday in a statement. It contains a link that redirects to a website with a video in which a girl explains, in the first place, that it is not a hoax or pyramid scam but a solidarity system in which some users give gifts to others and everyone benefits . Next they explain how it is possible to obtain this amount of money and also an explanatory PDF document is attached.
It is not the first time that messages that invite users to participate in this type of movement are detected by the Network, the INCIBE recalled. For this reason, it is not ruled out that they can continue to be used under these same or similar pretext in the future.
To those who have made or the payment indicated, INCIBE advises them to denounce the scam before the State Security Forces and Bodies and keep all the available evidence so they can prove the facts.
