Samsung Galaxy Tab S6: the number one enemy of the iPad Pro?

The device in tablet format offers a good experience, is compatible with stylus and has a great performance

There is life beyond the iPad. The tablet market does not have the oven for buns, but they still look like an alternative to the PC. More limited, true, but for many daily tasks that most will do as taking notes or writing is compliant. The South Korean firm has diversified its catalog with its most powerful tablet, the Tab S6, giving it a spin: it is compatible with optical pencils.

Rival of the iPad Pro or the Microsoft Surface line, the computer is based on the Android ecosystem although it adapts it to a Windows-style desktop environment. His proposal is DeX, which has been debugging in recent times. Now it is more agile, it jumps automatically if programmed and offers a practical interface. However, it has some weaknesses because not all applications are compatible with this format. It is not as stable as it should. The multitasking and multi-window system has been improved to make it more comfortable.

This tablet has better hardware than software. Their guts make their power clear. A Snapdragon 855 chip is the "brain" of the beast. Supported by configurations of 6 and 8 GB of RAM, the experience is fantastic. It has an overwhelming and fluid performance for most tasks. It is also appreciated its well-built screen, which allows you to play multimedia content with great results.

The format of its surface, however, is a controversial aspect because it breaks with the classic aspect ratio in tablets, usually 4: 3, to offer a longer than wide screen. This presents some peculiarities since working in horizontal mode is useful, but then in vertical it can give strange sensations. It is a 10.5-inch screen with a resolution of Super Amoled type (1,600 x 2,560 pixels). It is of great quality. Well calibrated, with good sharpness. The result is enviable.

The tablet supports the use of S Pen. An accessory with which to expand functions. It is an interesting and essential element for many tasks, such as when sketching and drawing. It is sensitive but its size, however, is too small, so that for large hands it may feel that it is "lost." Its positive aspect is that it has a magnetic system with which it can be easily anchored to the back of the tablet. It serves to charge your battery, which can easily reach nine hours.

The team has several security measures, one inherited from the brand's mobile family. The fingerprint reader is under the screen. You can also set it to unlock through your face through facial recognition technology, which works quite well on most occasions both vertically and horizontally. Another aspect that is sometimes overlooked in the tablet market is its sound. It has four high-quality stereo speakers that sound surprisingly good. And, with it, the experience when watching series or movies gets bigger.

As it is compatible with mice, it can be used as a laptop. The keyboard, however, presents certain doubts, because personally I like the touch more compared to that of the iPad but the anchoring system is more unstable. And by the way, it has no headphone jack.
